Gallery - New
The Dessert Gallery is a collection of dessert centres in milk, dark
and white chocolate cups from recipes created by the Thorntons Master
Chocolatier, Barry Colenso, who learned his craft as the chef patissier
of some of the world’s finest hotels, including the Savoy Hotel
in London.
The chocolates are:
Summer Fruit Pudding - a fruit layer of real strawberrys on top of raspberry
cream in a milk chocollate cup.
Toffee Mouse - bitter toffee sauce with thornton's toffee liquer mouse
finished with toffee on top. This one was really lovely!
Creme Brulee - golden demorara crunch topping above a rich creamy centre
in a milk chocolate cup.
Kirsch Torte - Cherry sugar with a kirsche marzipan centre which was
completely delicious.
Almond Torte - Shortcake and nutty chocolate praline topped with bitter
chocolate and finished wiht a whole almond.
Double Chocolate Mouse - dark shell with chocolate truffle.
Lemon Meringue - tiny clouds of meringe on top of lemon layer with a
lemony centre and whote chocolate cup. Very morish.
Tiramisu - fresh mascarpone with brandy and coffee with amaretto granules
to finish.
All the usual Thorntons festive favourites are here from huge family-share
hampers to Special Toffee - a great treat for carol singers - and timeless
classics like our Continental Chocolates and Double Chocolate Gingers.
