Crab Meat

100 per cent claw meat from a top quality producer in Cornwall. This is
packed in a slim “pillow pack” which will serve two to four. You could
snap it in half if you wanted to save some for a later date. Saver packs
contain 4 separate pillow packs. Batons come in neat 50g servings, ready
for you to slide onto the nearest avocado.

Crab Claws

A whole crab claw is a grade A eating experience, but bearing in mind
the effort required to remove the shell, it needs to be. Here is the short
cut! You’ll need 100g per person for a good first course serving, or twice
that for a main course. November 09: we have added a much larger claw
from Chile. In truth, it’s fractionally behind on flavour, but for size,
it wins hands-down and the price is very favourable.

Smoked Salmon

After many smoked salmon review sessions here at Fish Palace, we decided
that this producer combines taste, texture and packing quality in a winning
combination. The neatly-trimmed slices have been interleaved with film,
enabling you easily to remove one slice at a time. A side in a 6-pack
is the perfect way to buy a traditional sliced side. It’s perfect for
gifts: you get 3 lbs/1350 gms of salmon, but it comes in six handy sachets
instead of that very long and very inconvenient package which just won’t
fit in a fridge.

Crab

The meat has been expertly extracted then replaced into a cleaned crab
shell. We offer two versions. The first contains one third white meat
and two thirds brown. For the luxury version, the white meat ratio rises
to 50% and is all claw meat, and it’s topped with a claw. The XXL is on
the same lines as the luxury, topped with two claws and will provide two
to four servings. The weight specified is the weight of the meat only.

6 fillet steaks (ie boneless) – 2 tuna, 2 sword and 2 organic salmon,

whole organic rainbow trout, about 6 sardines and 6 skewers each mounted
with 10 peeled king prawns. That’s at least a dozen main courses.

You can eat it as it comes, or cook with it. Ours comes from a star-spangled
producer in the Outer Hebrides which has won a cabinet full of quality
awards and been lauded by Rick Stein, Nick Nairn and Clarissa Dickson
Wright. One fillet piece, from farmed salmon.

Giant
Red Crab Leg Cluster

One of the most spectacular items in our range. Your cluster includes
3 to 4 legs about 12 to 15 inches long (those are lemons in the picture),
joined at the shoulder. They’re packed with beautiful sweet white meat.
That upper section in the centre of our shot is nearly two inches in diameter
and six inches long. They are cooked and ready to eat after defrosting,
and you won’t need a cracker: the shell is pliable and can easily be cut
with a sharp knife. Make the most of this item: steam the cluster over
a tray of hot water in your oven then bring to the table on a bed of hot
buttered spinach, with the legs pointing up at the ceiling. Truly spectacular!
A note on our servings guide for US customers: some of you think this
is optimistic. This probably reflects the fact that this product is less
expensive in the USA than it is here, so you’re less inclined to stretch
it than us. If you’re working on US standards, you could cut our servings
guide in half: ie 4-8 becomes 2-4!

Indian
Ocean Prawns

These magnificent prawns have always been one of our top sellers. The
taste is superb and the texture is excellent: it’s like eating a small
lobster, and they’re ready to eat after defrosting. They boast a beautiful
deep pink hue, but that may be something to do with dashes of E122 and
E110. Nevertheless, these are the bees’ knees. Cooked and ready to eat.
XXL contains 3-4 prawns in the small pack and 10-12 in the saver. Size
SS, about twice as many.

Boquerones

These are authentic Spanish marinated anchovy fillets. They are not remotely
like the dark salty ones from tins. You can eat them as they come, tapas
style, or take a tip from Gary Rhodes, and fry a couple to garnish a cooked
dish. They taste great! We’ve seen many brands, but these are the best:
large, neatly cut and very white.
